We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Luxembourg law of 1 August 2018 on the organisation of the National Commission for Data Protection. This policy explains what data is processed when you visit this website and what rights you have.
1. Controller

2. How we obtain your data
Data is obtained in two ways: data you provide to us yourself (for example when you contact us through the contact form or by e-mail) and technical data recorded automatically by our systems when you visit the website (for example browser, operating system, time of access).
3. Server log files
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically records information that your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing device, time of the request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free presentation and security of the website.
4. Hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Personal data collected on this website is stored on the provider's servers. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data-processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are additionally safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or third-party analytics. It stores two technical values in your browser's session storage: one so that the opening sequence plays only once per visit, and one so that the language suggestion appears only once. These values are deleted when you close the browser tab, are not transmitted to us and contain no personal data. All fonts are served from this website.
To understand how the website is used, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by our hosting provider Cloudflare (see section 4). It counts page views anonymously, sets no cookies, does not track you across websites and does not build user profiles; we only see aggregated figures such as visits, referring pages, countries and device types. The measuring script is loaded from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our website, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
6. Contact form and e-mail
When you use the contact form, the details you enter (whether you are an investor, a founder or another enquirer, your area of interest, name, e-mail address, optionally your company, your message, a description of your venture, a link to your deck or the deck file you attach) are transmitted encrypted to our hosting provider Cloudflare (see section 4) and delivered to us by e-mail through the e-mail delivery service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA), which acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. Resend is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are also covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. The form sets no cookies and loads no third-party services. You confirm with a checkbox that your details may be used to answer your request.
If you contact us, your request including the personal data you provide (name, contact details, content of the request) is stored and processed for the purpose of handling the request and for follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or, where requested, your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The data remains with us until you ask us to erase it, withdraw your consent or the purpose ceases to apply; statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
7. Sharing of data
We do not sell personal data. Data is passed on only where you have expressly consented, where it is necessary to pursue legitimate interests and there is no reason to assume you have an overriding interest in it not being disclosed, where we are legally obliged to do so, or where it is necessary for the performance of a contract. Some of our service providers may be based outside the EU/EEA; in that case transfers take place only under the safeguards of Chapter V GDPR.
8. Links to third-party websites
This website links to the websites of affiliated companies and third parties. These are independent sites with their own privacy policies, over which we have no control. We do not share your personal data with them.
9. Retention and security
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by law, and then erase it. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted transmission (TLS), to protect your data. Please note that data transmission over the internet can never be entirely secure.
